The new brand we’ve been teasing
has finally arrived!
I actually had the opportunity to accompany the team
to the exhibition for this brand myself,
and I was truly captivated by their unique approach—
applying the exceptional techniques of a knit manufacturer
to create a T-shirt.
It’s that kind of irresistible item that
immediately makes you think,
“This is one I’m going to be wearing forever.”
Let’s start with an introduction to the brand.
Yonetomi
Founded in 1952 by Ryoichi Oe in Yamanobe, Yamagata Prefecture,
the long-established knit manufacturer “Yonetomi Seni”
was started by the grandfather of the current representative, Ken Oe.
With an in-house development department for knit fabrics,
they leverage tens of thousands of archive pieces
and over 40 years of technical expertise.
They launched their own brand, “Yonetomi,”
utilizing their advanced capabilities to handle everything
from material development to productization and mass production
entirely within their own factory.
Yonetomi’s knit project pursues basic items
that nestle into your “new daily life.”
While based on classic knitting structures,
they create a unique beauty through subtle combinations of materials,
proposing items that color your daily life
with a sophisticated, effortless design.
The item we are carrying this time is the face of the brand:
"NEW BASIC GARMENT DYE BORDER T-SHIRT"

A border T-shirt that takes advantage of the
different dyeing characteristics of various materials.
Using a bespoke jersey fabric that combines
two types of cotton with polyester,
the difference in dye absorption creates
a colorful micro-border effect.
The knit collar is docked with the jersey body,
creating a comfortable fit with a structure that resists stretching.
A piece truly worthy of the name, born from
Yonetomi's outstanding knitting technology
and solid technical foundation.
Precisely because of its simple, stripped-back design,
the high-quality feel and comfort are accentuated.
It is a versatile item that can be enjoyed
