I hope to introduce a variety of items,
starting with new arrivals,
filtered through my own "clothing geek" perspective.
For this momentous first post,
I’d like to talk about the "ultimate piece"
that I personally purchased.
To be honest, I’m just showing off, haha.
My writing might be a bit amateurish, but I’d be honored
if you’d stick with me through my little love letter.
Without further ado, the "ultimate piece" is:
OVERCOAT

My encounter with this beauty was six months ago, while looking through the lookbook
for the 25AW collection—it was love at first sight.
Every item from OVERCOAT is incredible,
and while I had my eye on things like the plaid shirt and leather pieces,
I was particularly drawn to this blouson.
"Basic" is the first word that comes to mind,
but it’s an item that possesses a luxury equal to high-end brands,
while maintaining a simplicity that carries a level of conviction
you don't find in other labels.
It might sound cheap to try to describe it in words,
but if you see it in person, I think you’ll be able to experience
its depth through your intuition rather than just explanation.
For this season, OVERCOAT celebrates its 10th anniversary,
evoking the spirit of New York, their home base.
Based on American casual style,
these are "New Luxury" garments only possible thanks to Mr. Daimaru,
who has worked with countless brands and masters the balance
that makes both fabric and the wearer look their most beautiful.
Word on the street is that they use the same fabrics
as certain famous luxury houses.
The wool beaver version of this same model is also flawless,
but this wool serge is exceptional—
offering both a moderate sheen and lightness,
while still feeling substantial and weighted.
And that khaki hue, which commands such certain conviction…
They go out of their way to change the fabric for different colorways.
This is exactly the kind of piece that speaks to OVERCOAT’s craftsmanship,
