Hello! It’s Haru, the clothing geek!
OUAT arrived right in the middle of our massive rush of new shipments.
Thanks to everyone’s support, we’ve seen a great response both in-store and online, and the anoraks already sold out completely on day one.
Many of the other items are down to their last piece, so they could disappear at any moment.
I only managed to buy one shirt last month, so my craving for new clothes has been bubbling up!
The installment payments for the 25AW season…
I went a bit wild buying things and now I’m stuck, just sitting here
watching great items come in and having to bite my nails in restraint.
I’m about at my limit.
Since I have the perfect excuse of it being my birthday this month, there’s no way I can’t buy something.
I had been planning on replacing my beat-up iPhone 12,
but that’s on hold for now, haha.
Armin Arlert once said,
"People who are able to change something are those who can abandon the things they hold dear."
Whenever I’m about to buy clothes,
these words cross my mind and give me a push,
and before I know it, I’m off to Second Street to sell the clothes I don’t wear anymore, haha.
The item I’m introducing today is another devilish piece trying to tempt me.
Let’s get right to the introduction.
OUAT
-META BLOUSON-
When you think of OUAT, signature pieces like their bags or hoodies usually come to mind,
but this blouson is another piece that really embodies the essence of the brand.
"Exploring valuable clothing that will be worth vintage status in decades to come."
Guided by this philosophy,
the items OUAT aims to create
don’t just focus on the current era,
but propose items that will remain as truly valuable pieces.
While it has a modern, simple design,
it carries a presence that immediately catches the eye.
OUAT’s items partly use vintage pieces as design sources,
and am I the only one who feels both a contemporary impression and a touch of nostalgia at the same time?
It’s a zip-up blouson made from stretch wool gabardine,
and you can wear it from right about now until around May or June.
It is fully lined, creating a subtle contrast in texture against the wool outer layer.
OUAT’s designs are simpler compared to brands like KHOKI or stein,
but the designer, Mr. Tamura, has past experience in production management for luxury brands,
so his way of showcasing materials is simply on another level.
When I slipped my arms into this blouson,
I felt a level of exhilaration and luxury
as if I were wearing a piece from Jil Sander.
The contrast between the wool gabardine and the steerhide leather parts, which are finished with aniline and treated with oil, makes it feel even more convincing.
We also have pants in the same material, so you can enjoy it as a set-up...
To put it mildly, isn’t this blouson the best?!
Light blousons are starting to arrive from various brands,
but there really aren't many that have this much world-view and luxurious atmosphere.
Even though it’s a light blouson,
it has the presence of a heavy outer garment.
Please, come try it on and see for yourself!
