Hello! It’s Haru, a fashion fanatic!!

In my previous blogs, I’ve introduced
several types of knitwear,

but the knit I’m introducing today
is clearly different from the rest.

Of course, I can confidently recommend
everything I’ve shown so far, but

the quality of the “fleece” is on another level—
a supreme piece that captivates anyone who tries it on.

It’s so good that it’s known as
the "Jewel of Textiles."

That material is...
Cashmere.

People often think cashmere comes from sheep,
but it’s actually the hair of a goat called a
“Cashmere Goat,”

and since it’s only available in small quantities
compared to wool and isn’t shorn by machine,

it is a luxurious material that requires
painstaking manual collection, making it difficult to obtain.

You might see such luxury materials
at certain fast-fashion brands as well,

but according to a designer from a certain brand,
they reuse low-quality scraps that would have been discarded
and offer them as cashmere knitwear.

In reality, high-quality cashmere is expensive,
so even among fashion lovers,
few people choose to invest in it.

It’s only natural to think that instead of buying one knit that costs hundreds of thousands, you’d rather buy several knits for a fraction of the price to enjoy more styling options.

However, even if you put that logic aside,
you’ll find yourself wanting it so strongly.

Cashmere has a power that attracts fashion lovers.

A sensation where your instincts demand it
more than your head.

I’d like to introduce items made from 100% of such cashmere
in two parts, front and back.

And surprisingly, despite being high-quality,
the cashmere I’m introducing this time is

offered at an accessible price point, defying common wisdom
to make it available to anyone.

The intro has been long, so let’s get straight to it…

PICEA
-25J16 Soft Crew Neck-

I’ll tell you the price first:
¥65,000+tax.

This price for cashmere is just too cheap.

PICEA, a brand we started carrying
this season,

is a cashmere knit brand that uses the world’s highest standard
of baby cashmere produced in Inner Mongolia.

It’s the supreme material
loved by world-renowned brands.

It sends shivers down my spine to think I can get an item that would cost hundreds of thousands at a luxury brand for this price.

It is a 5-gauge jersey knit material
made by loosely and softly knitting two strands of
the extra-fine, air-filled baby cashmere yarn,

followed by a strong fulling process
during the product finishing stage.

The fulling process creates a fluffy, raised texture
with a light, comfortable feel,

and features a deep, layered color created by two different colored yarns.

The wrists feature a ribbed knit & thumbhole design,
which you can fold back to change up your look.

By keeping the design simple, the quality of the material
really stands out, and because it’s a brand
that specializes in and knows cashmere inside out,
this piece brings out 120% of the material's potential.

I’ve had the opportunity to handle cashmere knitwear
many times before,

but this one is arguably the softest and lightest.

This isn't just an expression;
it feels as soft and light as if you’re wearing air.

It felt so good that I actually
caught myself daydreaming about what it would be like

when I’m in my 40s, pairing this knit with slacks
and spending a luxurious holiday.

The wool items we carry at sign
are of a very high quality, but
I want you to recognize that
cashmere is something entirely different.

As for the comfort of the knit,
I think you’ll understand what I mean once you
actually touch and wear it.

Timely enough, an ideal mature customer
picked this knit up today,

and there’s only one left.

Normally, not many people would put this much effort
into a blog post for an item that’s down to its last piece,

but I’m writing this blog because I really want you to know
the excellence of PICEA’s knits—and cashmere knits in general.

This is a cashmere knit I can recommend with confidence;
try it before it’s gone.

Tomorrow, I’ll be introducing a cashmere knit
from a different brand.

Look forward to it!
