The bespoke item with CALMANTHOLOGY,
which has already received so much positive response.
The journey to creating this
bespoke item was long.
It was through many twists and turns
that we arrived at this ideal pair.
CALMANTHOLOGY is a brand I chose
for special occasions long before I became staff,
and now it has become an indispensable presence
that turns my everyday life into something special.
Last year, we finished writing a story, a "page."
Starting this season, a new collection
called "EMARUIRA" has begun,
but this bespoke item feels like an epilogue to the story
that only sign could tell.
By weaving this item, the "page" between
CALMANTHOLOGY and sign finally comes to a close,
serving as the culmination of our narrative.
The star chosen for this story is the "TEDS SHOES,"
the most popular model here at sign.
Tonight, I’d like to introduce this special item,
reinterpreted by the designer, Mr. Kaneko,
to become a pair exclusive to sign.

-EXCL TEDS SHOES-
This is a reconstruction of the "TEDS SHOES,"
originally created based on the "Teddy Boy style"
known as a youth culture movement in London,
now reimagined as a sign bespoke model.
While keeping the fundamental design and details
of the TEDS SHOES intact, it is a luxurious pair
featuring saddle calf leather, favored by the French tannery D'Annonay,
and alpine leather with embossed detailing on the upper.
A good old-fashioned traditional design
that carries an atmosphere completely opposite to the present era.
As someone who owns the TEDS SHOES,
I can honestly say there is no shoe more versatile than this one;
it’s an all-around design that works for any scene.
Their sharp silhouette offers a classic feel,
but they aren’t too stiff,
and by showing a slightly rebellious side,
they are charming enough to be enjoyed both casually and formally.
This bespoke item adds a new essence
to those TEDS SHOES.
Building on the raw, edgy atmosphere they possess,
we’ve added depth by switching between different materials.
Compared to classic dress shoes, the TEDS SHOES
feature softer lines and edges for a more modern feel,
reminiscent of the punk spirit of the Teddy style,
yet they never feel overly flashy.
I think the word "cool" fits them best.
In fact, Kent-san wore the bespoke shoes early,
and the denim, white tee, and leather jacket styling he paired them with
was thrillingly cool.
Of course, pairing them with slacks to dress them up is a no-brainer,
and the unique expression of the upper, not found on the regular TEDS SHOES,
adds even more depth.
That said, it doesn’t mean they are difficult for those who have never worn CALMANTHOLOGY;
they are easy to incorporate into formal events or daily life,
with just a subtle change in how they look, making them very accessible.
Because CALMANTHOLOGY is a fashion brand,
there are no strict rules. I feel that these shoes are the kind of pair
that responds to the wearer's feelings and changes its expression accordingly.
I'm sure everyone will perceive this "EXCL TEDS SHOES" differently,
but that’s exactly what makes it interesting—by adding your own feelings,
it becomes an even more special item.
Since we are the protagonists of the "page" called life,
it’s reassuring to have a pair of shoes at our feet
that can transform into whatever we need to be.
