Hello everyone! It’s Haru, your fashion nerd!

The most talked-about "DEFORMATION"
denim series has just released new colorways.

I am personally
so hyped about this!

In tonight's blog, I'm going to dive deep
into these items.

Let’s get right to the introduction.

ssstein
-DEFORMATION WIDE COLOR
DENIM PANTS(ST.1565)-
col. BEIGE

col. KHAKI

"DEFORMATION" has become a staple cut
we’ve grown familiar with over the past few seasons.

With wide gussets on both side seams,

it features a one-of-a-kind silhouette that flares
from the thighs and drops straight to the hem.

The waist is clean and structured, while the silhouette
gradually widens from the thighs.

So many people have fallen in love with this unique balance,

leading to various iterations of the design.

Among the classic DEFORMATION denim series,
I think this particular item captures the
season's essence better than ever before.

As I mentioned yesterday,

this season's ssstein collection
focuses on the "emotions in all of life’s daily scenes."

I really feel that these emotions are
truly reflected in this denim.

It’s not just about fleeting, spontaneous emotions,

but the atmosphere that drifts from relationships built over years,
or from lands and landscapes we've known for a long time.

Because it focuses on the complex shifting of
emotions felt from those experiences,

it captures a sense of aging and wear as if you’ve
walked through life with these pants for years.

It’s more than just casual wear; it even possesses
a certain classical charm.

The appearance of these colors changes
depending on the season.

In summer, they offer a lightness and freshness
reminiscent of sunlight filtering through trees.

In autumn, they take on a deep expression
that evokes the changing leaves.

In winter, within a landscape of muted colors,
they provide both softness and a dignified presence.

In spring, they offer a delicacy that feels like
the premonition of new encounters and beginnings.

As a fashion nerd, I love to imagine that these colors
are like the fluctuations of various emotions. Haha.

Of course, it’s not just the color that’s great.
By using rope-dyeing* on the warp threads,

it uses a textile with a unique balance characteristic
of "nakajiro" (white-core) color denim.

*Rope-dyeing is a method mainly used
for dyeing denim fabric.

It’s a technique where threads bundled into ropes (400–600 threads)
are passed through indigo dye vats to be colored.

One of the charms of rope-dyeing is that by repeatedly
dipping them in the vat and exposing them to oxygen for oxidation,

you can dye only the surface while keeping the core of the thread white,
creating what is known as "nakajiro" (white-core).

Because of this, you can enjoy natural aging
as you wear them, making them uniquely your own.

It has a pre-distressed, vintage-like impression from the start,
but it’s up to the wearer to color it into their own unique shade.

The expression changes the more you wear them, making them a pair
that truly embodies this season’s "emotions in all of life’s daily scenes."

BEIGE or KHAKI—it’s a tough choice,

but these items tend to sell out quickly while you’re thinking about it,
so please come by and try them on tomorrow!
