Hello! It’s Haru, your resident fashion nerd!!
Do you remember when I briefly touched on
down items while introducing
RICE NINE TEN
on the blog before?
As down jackets become more common,
I feel like fewer people are wearing them in a stylish way.
This feeling has grown day by day
as the cold has intensified,
and it suddenly dawned on me:
"What exactly makes a down jacket stylish?"
Is it a special material?
Or is it an unusual color for down?
There are many factors that contribute to style.
That is precisely why,
not knowing which down jacket to choose,
the majority of people just go for
the ones from brands you see everywhere.
That's not necessarily wrong, either.
But because I believe those of you reading this blog
are already stylish people,
I want you to go even further—
to go "Plus Ultra"!!
I’ve given it some thought, and I’ve reached
my own conclusion as to what makes a down jacket stylish.
It’s this:
I think a stylish down jacket is one that has a shape
and design appropriate for its setting!
What I mean by that is,
if you choose a down jacket from an outdoor brand
to wear in the city, the casual impression,
volume, and design often don't quite fit.
That’s because they weren't originally created from a fashion perspective,
but rather for those enjoying mountaineering and outdoor activities.
If you look at it from a fashion standpoint,
down jackets from fashion brands are designed
for use in urban settings.
They are created with style in mind, making them easier to wear,
and by choosing a seamless, down-pack-free design,
you get a compact look that is easy to enjoy,
even for those who aren't usually into down jackets!
And, remarkably enough, we have the ideal down jacket
that I’m talking about right here at sign, haha.
What's more,
it’s incredibly affordable.
It’s easy to pick up as an entry-level piece
for those who don’t usually wear down,
and I think it’s a quality item that will satisfy
those who have worn down before, too.
The intro was a bit long, so let’s get straight to it.
ANOTHER OFFICE
-Snowman Down Jacket-
col.Black
col.Khaki Gray
"Simple and streamlined"
It has all the necessary elements of a down jacket,
while remaining compact and easy to wear.
The Snowman Down Jacket is an item packed with
stylish details and a silhouette that is simple without being plain.
The "Another Office Heavy Outerwear Series"
is produced by Madex in Italy,
which has manufactured heavy outerwear for high-end brands
to ensure high heat retention and top-tier quality.
It’s not just high quality; since it’s a fashion item
made with urban wear in mind,
the moderate volume and the straight, vertical silhouette
make it easy to pair with various items,
making it a piece that excels in any scene.
The key points of this item are that it is
extremely lightweight,
and has a seamless design without down packs,
giving it a modern impression.
The fabric is bio-washed and water-repellent,
making it the ideal down jacket we users look for.
It’s roomier in the body than it looks,
so you can easily layer it over shirts and knits,
or even thick sweatshirts and hoodies,
which is something us fashion lovers truly appreciate!
I’ve actually worn it, and
compared to conventional down, it lacks that bulky, "puffy" volume,
making it easy to throw on.
It’s easy to move in for the upcoming season
filled with more travel and outings,
and it’s easy to handle even after you take it off.
And, there’s a secret to its lightness:
it uses duck down as the insulating material!
While many standard luxury down jackets use goose down,
which has slightly higher heat retention,
duck down provides more than enough warmth
for daily use in the city,
and because it’s more affordable than goose down,
it’s much more accessible.
By the way, the price for this down jacket is
¥37,000 + tax...
Too cheap!!
I’ve never heard of a down jacket costing less than a knit, haha.
This is definitely going to sell out fast.
Before winter really sets in,
please try this down jacket for yourself!!
I’ll be introducing a different down jacket tomorrow, too!
Look forward to it.
