This is the theme
for ssstein this season.
The 26AW collection focuses on "human emotion."
Rather than the temporary
emotions born in a fleeting moment,
it looks at relationships built over years,
the lands where we have spent long periods of time,
and the atmosphere that lingers there.
Through the entire collection,
26AW expresses the complex, slightly ambiguous
shifts in emotion that arise from
such layers of time.
The item I am introducing today
thoroughly reflects that worldview.
One of the inspirations for designer Mr. Asakawa
may look to others like just
a "weathered jacket" worn by a grandfather for years.
But to that person,
it is a jacket they cherished.
Seen through the eyes of another,
it is a piece that has spent years by their side.
Wearing it, washing it, wearing it again.
The texture that emerges from being worn
over and over, through many long years,
is more than just "old."
It is imprinted with the time spent with the clothing,
a charm that can never be replicated in something brand new.
This season's ssstein features
tweed fabric that evokes that accumulation of time!
Personally, I fell in love with this tweed
from the moment I saw the runway photos,
to the point that I actually bought the full set-up.
It is one of the materials that defines this season
and one I am personally very attached to.
From that tweed series,
in addition to coats, jackets, and pants,
the 5th delivery also brings a new style of blouson.
The introduction has been a bit long,
but now for the main event.

BRITISH TWEED JACKET(ST.1577)-
While it exudes a strong presence,
it also blends naturally into the wearer's own style.
That is the charm of ssstein's
"DETATCHABLE COLLAR
BRITISH TWEED JACKET."
For the fabric, we used an original British tweed
reconstructed from traditional classic patterns
by the British company MOON, using high-quality merino wool.
While it is a tweed with a classic flair,
by combining it with the contemporary silhouette typical of ssstein,
it has been finished with a look that is
somehow light and sophisticated.
And what cannot be left out when talking about this blouson
is the detachable sheep mouton
added to the collar.
By adding the soft texture unique to mouton
to the warm look of the tweed,
you can instantly enjoy an outfit with the depth
expected of autumn and winter.
Furthermore, calf leather is used for the underside of the collar and the tabs.
The soft texture of the wool, the pile of the mouton,
and the sheen unique to calf leather.
By combining different materials in one garment,
each texture is accentuated, resulting in an eye-catching finish.
Despite being a padded jacket,
it uses ultra-thin quilting on the inside.
While ensuring warmth,
it is designed to maintain the clean silhouette
inherent to a jacket without looking bulky,
showcasing the meticulous balance characteristic of ssstein.
Based on classic British tweed,
this is a piece of modern wear elevated through
material combinations, silhouette, and fine details.
You can enjoy it in a winter style with the mouton collar attached,
or remove the collar for a more minimal look,
