We had so many people visit us right after opening!
It was a hectic day, but a very fulfilling one.
It was so fun talking to people who live far away and
whom I don't usually get to meet in person
on the first day of the POP UP.

Now, continuing from before,
I would like to pick up and introduce items
from the ssstein 26SS collection.
Today, I'm featuring an item made of the same material as the "MOUTON COLLAR
PADDED JACKET (ST.1377)".
For sign,
it is quite rare for us to carry
an ssstein item in this silhouette...
Let’s get right to the introduction.
ssstein
-WOOL KERSEY OVERSIZED
SINGLE BREASTED JACKET(ST.1413)-
This is a classic single-breasted jacket
characterized by its roomy body width and
the way it drapes around the shoulders. 
While it is a staple item for ssstein,
we have often chosen double-breasted jackets
at sign, so this is quite rare for us.
You might wonder why we decided to carry
this single-breasted jacket style this time.
There are a few reasons, but one is
the sizing and the design.
Single-breasted jackets can feel casual or
business-like, and opinions are often split.
Many of our customers also felt that they
should be worn a bit more tightly.
If you want to enjoy ssstein’s signature sizing,
double-breasted is the way to go...
I felt the same way and never really looked at
ssstein's single-breasted jackets before, but
there has been a major change since they
presented their collection in Paris.
That change is
the revision of their sizing.
"I want more people to wear them"
As ssstein takes flight globally, the sizing
was revisited and updated
to better fit the modern atmosphere.
It’s not that ssstein has lost its identity;
it is still oversized, but
the proposals that can only be made by the "now" ssstein,
derived from years of experience, carry a convincing weight .
They originally searched for the sizing that best
showcased the drape of the fabric and the
balance of how the fabric meets the human body,
which gave birth to the oversized fit.
The core of that philosophy hasn't changed,
but it feels like they have stepped closer
to the needs of the times.
Of course, for those who want to enjoy the
oversized fit as they always have,
I think it’s stylish to go up one size.
Because of these changes,
the vibe of the single-breasted jacket has
completely shifted. While retaining that "ssstein-ness,"
it has reached the perfect balance of
not being too casual yet not too dressy,
which is exactly why it appeals to us more than ever.
Despite the wide body, it has a beautiful drape,
creating a vertical silhouette,
and the details have been adjusted to achieve
a look that is both classic and modern.
Thin pads are built into the shoulders
for a relaxed fit that doesn't look too stiff.
Whether you are slender like me or have a
more muscular build, you can wear it beautifully,
and I am once again reminded that this is the
aesthetic of ssstein’s oversized design.
And another reason I chose this jacket
is the texture of the material!
It uses the same new "Kersey" material
as the blouson I introduced yesterday.
It is a material woven into a Kersey
(a type of twill) structure,
lavishly using high-quality 80/2-ply yarn
made from Super100’s wool.
This fabric is characterized by its beautiful ribbing,
which provides a smooth touch and an elegant sheen.
This is a fabric that Kent-san highly praised,
and it is a piece that not only mature adults
but also people my age can wear effortlessly.
They intentionally avoided special treatments like
resin or washing processes,
maximizing the potential of the high-quality raw materials
to achieve a soft texture!
And what’s more, this jacket...
actually has no matching slacks,
so if you want to enjoy it as a set-up,
the proposal is to wear it with shorts!!
So! While matching it with shorts is great,
this jacket is not a set-up proposal,
but a piece I want you to enjoy on its own!
