Hello! It’s Haru, a clothing geek!!

As I announced in yesterday’s blog,
today I’m introducing some pants!!

By the way, the item I’m introducing today
is also by kolor!

I’ve completely fallen
under kolor's spell, haha.

I’ve been working with various items
like coats and knits,

but personally, this pair of pants is the item
I want most from kolor.

I’d like to introduce them to you today,
including the reasons why.

These are the highly popular
“Puckering Pants,”

often the first thing people name
when they think of kolor.

Among the many items in their lineup,
these have the most devoted fans

and have been offered
since the brand’s inception.

Released in 2007,
they’ve been a favorite for years,

and are also known as the
“BSIK” (ugly) pants.

When you hear the name,
you might think, “Wait, what? Haha, what’s so good about them?”

But these pants are actually quite interesting!

As the name suggests, the shape is unusual,
and if you just look at them on a hanger,

it’s hard to call it a clean silhouette.

Even I, at first,
couldn't understand their appeal

and thought, “What’s so good about these pants?”

However! What matters
is the “content,” not the appearance.

If you judge by appearance, you’re still a third-rate.

Clothing only shows its true worth when you actually wear it.

They create a unique silhouette through contraction,
using tape sewn from the inside
to create gathers along the side seams.

These edgy details, unique to kolor
and unlike conventional pants,

are part of the spirit created and passed down
by Mr. Abe, the “Magician of Materials.”

The tapered silhouette that falls straight
from the waist to the hem is beautiful,

creating just the right line
that you can’t feel when they are hanging.

Puckering pants have been in the lineup
every season with the same shape and material.

The previous puckering pants
felt a bit dowdy,

sometimes flaring out at the hem,
which gave them a mature impression.

But since Mr. Horiuchi took over as designer
starting this season,

they feel more in tune with the contemporary air
and have changed to fit the times.

While still keeping the lineage of kolor firmly intact,
this pair feels elevated into something that makes you
feel the dignified beauty of tailoring like in Mr. Horiuchi's label, 'th',
while still including his own originality.

These pants use a high-density nylon material,

and the crispness and luster unique to nylon
are charming, allowing you to enjoy them all year round.

They make it easy to differentiate your styling,

and are overflowing with an originality
that no other brand has.

These are definitely items I want you to see
when you come to the store!!
