Hello! I'm Haru, a fashion geek!
The weather forecast said it would
get even colder this week,
but it’s windier and colder than I expected,
and it’s even supposed to hit 0°C tomorrow, lol.
Since I didn’t buy any highly
insulated items last year,
I’m currently struggling with
a desperate desire for outerwear,
but at this point in the season,
it’s too late to buy a down jacket.
Just because it’s cold now doesn’t mean
I should settle for a cheap, rushed purchase,
and buying a down jacket for tens of thousands of yen now doesn’t feel right either.
If I’m going to pick something, I want an outer layer
that I can use not just now, but through April or May.
When I thought about which items
we have in stock that fit that criteria,
this one came to mind!

-Washed Nylon Coach Jacket-
Coach jackets were something that everyone around my age
or in my age group used to own.
They were a huge trend back then, and even though I didn’t
know much about fashion at the time,
I remember getting swept up in the hype
and buying one myself.
The roots of the coach jacket come from—
the fact that they were originally worn
by coaches of American sports teams,
which is how the item got its name.
They were created using materials like
nylon and polyester to meet the need
for a simple, lightweight, and easy-to-move-in jacket.
Since the 1980s, due to their simplicity and functionality,
coach jackets were incorporated into
American street fashion and skateboard culture,
which is how they evolved into the form they have today.
In middle and high school, I wore one
simply because it was "cool" without knowing anything else,
but I never really thought about
why it was actually "cool."
Thinking back to those days, I tried on this blurhms coach jacket,
and it was interesting to see it in a different light—it has evolved from something I chose
"because everyone else was wearing it"
into an item I can choose "because of who I am today."
I feel that way even more strongly
because it’s an item proposed by the
brand blurhms.
blurhms items are inspired by vintage and old clothes,
yet they incorporate modern sensibilities and techniques
into their designs.
That’s why, while the item itself feels nostalgic as a coach jacket,
blurhms’ techniques and sense of style have updated it
into a modern piece that can be enjoyed with a fresh perspective.
Why is this item stylish?
It’s simple, timeless, and perfectly suits us
as we enjoy fashion today—it isn’t just a nostalgic piece.
By applying a washing process to the high-density nylon,
they’ve achieved a unique softness
and a vintage-like texture.
It’s lightweight yet durable,
making it a piece that works regardless of the season.
While it is a casual item,
it’s easy to wear regardless of age, and the color
isn't BLACK, but SAGE—which is great!
If it were BLACK, it would feel more casual,
and really remind me of those old days,
but because of who we are now,
we can choose this color and wear it well.
I thought of this as an outer layer that can be worn
now despite the cold, and throughout a long season.
Some of you might be wondering,
“So, can you actually wear this item right now?”
To be honest, it’s hard to say it provides high insulation on its own,
but since it’s nylon material, it blocks the cold wind,
and if you layer a knit or
Uniqlo’s Heattech underneath, you can wear it without any issues!
Because of its loose fit, it’s easy to layer with your favorite pieces from 25AW,
and you can even adjust the silhouette with the drawcord at the hem,
expanding your styling possibilities.

Based on the simple coach jacket design,
this version adds blurhms’ signature high-quality tailoring
and a minimalist look.
It’s a must-see item!
