Hello everyone! It’s Haru, your resident fashion nerd!
The 26AW Paris Fashion Week has finally kicked off,
and the excitement is still running high,
fueling my passion for clothing
even further.
Which brands did you think stood out?
Personally,
I was really taken by AURALEE, PRADA,
and LOUIS VUITTON, which I don't usually watch too closely.
PRADA's focus on tailoring—proposing a slightly near-future vision
not for now, but for us in the future—was fascinating.
The tight silhouettes didn't feel nostalgic,
but rather gave the impression of building
a fresh, modern style.
With every brand shifting their trouser silhouettes
to be a bit slimmer,
I’m burning with the infinite possibilities of fashion
and want to challenge myself next season haha.
While I’m drawn to the interesting and unique designs
of every brand,
I always feel in my heart that "this brand's
design is just as good, if not better."
That brand is KHOKI.
I love all the brands we carry at sign,
but if someone asked me,
"Which is number one?", I would definitely
answer KHOKI without hesitation. That’s how much of a fan I am haha.
The charm of KHOKI lies in its uniquely original designs,
unmatched by any other brand,
and that special feeling you get the moment
you slip your arms through the sleeves—it’s a level of creation
that doesn’t fall short of global brands.
In fact, KHOKI has already held exhibitions in Paris,
and I feel that holding a runway show on Parisian soil
is not a distant dream.
Even though there is a setup that seems to symbolize
such unique creations from KHOKI,
I hadn't introduced it yet, so
today I'll be showcasing these items!
KHOKI
-Leather-Patch No-Collar Jacket-

-Pleated Stripe Summer Wool Pants-
col.Gray
col.Black
By omitting lapels and linings usually found in jackets,
this item follows the universal history of tailoring
while still making you feel the spirit of KHOKI.
The lapel-less design is rare; personally, it reminds me of Margiela's womenswear,
and the sharp impression around the neck changes the vibe
of a traditional stiff jacket.
The look changes completely depending on what you wear underneath—
you can enjoy changing up the neck area with cut-and-sews, shirts, or high-necks!
Because it has no lining, it's easy to throw on,
and the feel is closer to a shirt.
One of the features of this jacket is its
striking leather patches.
From the right shoulder and chest pocket to the edges of the side pockets,
and even down to the knee patches,
the design that incorporates leather throughout
is distinctively KHOKI.
Because it’s a material that contrasts with the wool stripe fabric,
the contrast created by the materials clashing
is a "jacket" born from a modern interpretation
that is unique to KHOKI,
while still respecting the centuries of clothing culture
that have come before it.
Also, despite not having shoulder pads,
the shoulder silhouette is beautifully designed, showing off
their high level of tailoring technique.
It’s not just that the design is good;
it's because they consistently propose products that are meticulous
down to those kinds of details that they are appreciated
globally.
And the matching
two-tuck slacks.
The pleats applied throughout the hem
and the pin-tuck details are impressive,
making these pants that show expression
with every step you take.
These are a signature KHOKI item,
which evolve every season with minor changes.
They are easy to pick up as a standalone pair of pants,
and their unique silhouette serves as an accent—
even when paired with a T-shirt in the summer,
they create a well-balanced look that isn't too simple.
This is a new kind of formal wear proposed by KHOKI,
which can be matched with a wide range of styles
from casual to mode.
Both are items that can be used separately,
but I can confidently say that you’re better off
having them as a setup.
It’s my personal theory,
but I think a setup is a kind of 100% answer
proposed by a brand.
Because it’s a combination born from
the designer's specific intentions,
if you want to enjoy it "100%",
there's no point unless you have this set.
I believe that styling is what takes that 100%
up to 120 or 150, which is why I always
choose to buy the setup pieces together.
This is just my own personal satisfaction,
so it might not be the "right" answer for everyone,
but if you can only get that 100% out of items from that season,
then I don't think you'll have any regrets.
KHOKI is currently transforming into a brand
that represents Japan.
Don't miss out!!
