Isn't it incredibly cold today?!
It wasn't snowing when I went to bed last night,
but when I looked outside this morning, everything was pure white.
I'm from a place where it barely ever snows and I have almost no memory of it ever accumulating, so I was surprised.
People who get it will understand, but don't you get excited when it snows or there's a typhoon? Haha.
It's like a break from the usual daily routine—
you’re safe at home, but something wild is happening outside.
Because you're in a safe zone, it gives you a sense of ease and a feeling of superiority.
If I didn't have work today, I would have wanted to build a snowman! Haha.
Anyway, setting my personal situation aside,
there's something strange about seeing the things you look at every day change a little bit.
It feels familiar, yet remarkably fresh.
Things you take for granted look different just by viewing them from another angle,
but since it's something you already know, there's no resistance to it.

To be honest, I haven't quite mastered this piece yet.

I could pull off the classic wool or tricotine versions easily,
and because the shape is familiar, I can pick it up, but the suede makes it feel like an entirely different thing.
That feeling isn't unpleasant; it's actually refreshing, and because it's a jacket style I see every day, I feel comfortable picking it up.
Plus,
if it's the signature OVERCOAT single jacket, it’s bound to be good!
While it has a traditional classic tailored silhouette,
it retains that signature, modern, smart slim fit created by Mr. Ohmaru,
who has worked with various brands.
The quality of the suede goes without saying—it's incredibly high.
It's very soft, and though leather usually sounds heavy, this is light.
Since it's an SS item, it’s not meant for extreme cold,
but you can enjoy it in various scenes by adjusting your inner layers!
There is also a button behind the lapel's flower hole,
allowing you to wear it with the collar turned up and buttoned.
Since suede items have started standing out across brands since the AW season, I think it's a great idea to get ahead and pick one up now.
In terms of price,
it's definitely not cheap.
However, OVERCOAT is top-class in quality even here at sign, and is recognized by heavyweights in the apparel industry as being on par with, or even superior to, luxury brands.
Once you put your arms through the sleeves, you will undoubtedly be convinced.
