Hello! I'm Haru, a clothing geek!
I need a shirt!!!
Around this time of year, I get this sudden, impulsive
craving for a shirt.
On a warm day just like today, I want to wear one
casually thrown on,
sleeves rolled up as I head out.
It's that perfect balance of being well-dressed without looking like I'm trying too hard, and when combined with the pleasant spring breeze, it really lifts my spirits.
There are countless shirts in the world, but
because each brand has its own characteristics,
what we group together as "shirts" can turn into something completely different.
There's a saying, "To each their own,"
and I always think the same can be said for shirts.
So, tonight I'd like to introduce the shirt that I, a true shirt lover, want the most right now!
It's a bit early, but a "first sign of spring" item for shirt lovers has arrived! Haha
The CLASIK
-DOUBLE POCKET SHIRTS-
col. GRAPH CHECK
col. RAIL STRIPE
As I've mentioned on the blog a few times,
The CLASIK items have a simple design, which is exactly why the quality of the materials stands out.
The same goes for the shirt I'm introducing this time.
The design and construction are great, of course, but
the fabric of this shirt is just incredible.
The fabric is from "David & John Anderson,"
which boasts a quality often cited as having the "finest yarn in the world."
It is a top-tier luxury shirt fabric manufacturer,
a long-established brand founded in Scotland in 1822.
It has the history and prestige often found in
high-end custom shirts,
and to put it in simple terms, you could say it's the
luxury line even higher than Thomas Mason, which is famous in the shirt world, haha.
The biggest feature of David & John Anderson is their overwhelming fabric quality.
They use yarn that is overwhelmingly finer than standard shirts,
whereas conventional high-quality shirts
*generally use 170s or 200s,
*Note: "Count" refers to the fineness of the thread; the higher the number, the finer the thread!
They have surpassed those counts with a staggering 300 count!!
It has a texture and smoothness like silk,
and boasts a beauty that makes me want to describe it as having a "lustrous sheen"
rather than just a typical shine.
By using such a high-count fabric,
it creates a drape you don't find in conventional shirts,
and it's truly irresistible!!
Taking a fabric that would normally be used for formal occasions and proposing it from a fashion perspective,
I can confidently say this piece, which aligns with The CLASIK’s British modern aesthetic, is a sure thing.
We had many people come in looking for spring items today,
and the shirt is so popular that only one of each color remains just weeks after arrival.
Looking at it strictly as a shirt,
it's certainly not cheap,
but it's an item you'll be satisfied with.
Please come and take a look before they're gone.
