Finally... the time has come to introduce
this item!
With the recent warmer weather,
we’ve started carrying it in store.
Personally, I find it a piece that fully
captures the charm of the brand.
While many of you have likely heard of the brand due to its long history,
I think it’s actually easier for you to choose it at Flat because it has been revamped under a new structure this year.
Some of you may have already guessed it.
The item I’m introducing today is...

This season writes a new page while building on Mr. Horiuchi’s exceptional skill and sensibility,
as well as the signature use of materials and designs that kolor has cultivated for years.
The coats delivered at the beginning of the year were well-received and sold out immediately, marking a highly acclaimed new start for the brand.
According to Mr. Horiuchi,
it was created with a different approach than the kolor of the past.
While they usually don’t follow a design process based on design sketches,
this time, to establish his own direction,
he used design sketches as a starting point.
By combining this with the pattern technology and textiles that kolor has accumulated,
he created a wonderful synergy.
The polo shirt introduced here also starts with designs and color palettes not seen in traditional kolor,
giving it a unique nuance while still feeling like classic kolor.
It doesn't end as just a regular polo shirt;
it’s impossible not to admire how it carries such impact and brand identity that fashion enthusiasts can recognize it as kolor just by seeing the design.
With tailored details like the front cut of a jacket and scattering of decorations,
plus a relaxed fit,
it adds a perfect accent to outfits in the coming season, when looks tend to become simple.
Beyond the design, the highlight of this item is its "use of materials."
This is a point that cannot be left out when talking about kolor items.
It uses an original textile blended from cotton, nylon, and polyurethane.
It has a firm structure while offering comfortable stretch, and a pleasant feel against the skin that prevents stuffiness even in summer.
The fact that it’s hand-washable makes it even more appealing.
Also, take note of the nylon tape details scattered on the collar, neckline, and hem.
In my personal recommendation color, white, the collar features red,
and by using black for the nylon tape, it creates a contrast not just in color, but in texture as well.
The other two colors also effectively display a contrast of different materials,
expressing a personality unseen in other items.
It’s an item unique to the "new" kolor, where the techniques inherited from the "magician of materials" truly shine.
It goes great with denim or slacks, but I think it would also be fun to pair it with shorts for a city-chic vibe.
