Following yesterday's blog post,
I will be introducing NOCHINO OPTICAL!
This time, I’m going to really focus on
and talk about the eyewear itself.
Let’s dive right in!

These are the three models
we are stocking this season.
First off, I want to say that
NOCHINO OPTICAL's
eyewear is incredibly "comfortable to wear."
While there are glasses specialized
for comfort when it comes to
everyday prescription eyewear,
things change when we talk about
eyewear as a fashion item.
If you trace the roots, many are
inspired by designs from abroad,
and it's quite common for them to be
uncomfortable because they don't
fit the facial structure of us Japanese.
However, because NOCHINO OPTICAL
eyewear is designed for Japanese people,
you can use it daily without any stress.
They feature adjustable metal nose pads
that play a huge role in comfort,
showcasing the meticulous skill
of master craftsmen down to the details.
The nose pads, which stay in close contact
with your skin even after all-day wear,
are made of luxurious, allergy-free titanium.
Manufacturing them is difficult, but
they spare no time or effort.
What makes this possible is
the skill of the craftsmen in Sabae, Fukui,
who handle 90% of Japan’s eyeglass frame
production and are world-class in their craft.
These frames possess a beautiful curvature
that isn't just about design, but is
also calculated for wearability.
Finished carefully by hand, one by one,
and calculated to the millimeter,
they offer both comfort and design.
This is only possible thanks to the skills
honed in Sabae over hundreds of years.
The "SANSUI FR" is an improved model
based on the brand's signature "SANSUI."
A piece that carries an overwhelming presence
and precise craftsmanship.
It is a Boston-Wellington style
designed slightly larger than
the base "NOCHINO" signature model.
The thickness brings more than
just a sense of volume.
While blocking stray light from the sides,
it also brings out the glamorous transparency
and depth unique to plastic materials,
creating a distinctive, luxurious look.
Furthermore, the inside of the front is
hand-finished with a process called "hatsuri,"
adding a delicate variation to the look.
Taking into account the lower nose bridge
typical of Asians, the design is made
to fit naturally regardless of who wears it.
An adult piece that retains a
casual atmosphere.
In summer, go out wearing these with
a white T-shirt, denim, and some jewelry.
I think these glasses shine best when
you keep the rest of your outfit simple.
The same goes for the other two models.
For a slightly edgier impression,
there is the "YUGEN."
This is a Clubmaster (Browline) type,
one of the iconic shapes of sunglasses.
It is a staple item that has long reigned
as a universal, classical piece in both
the West and Japan.
If you're going for casual, SANSUI FR
is the way to go, but for "formal"
or "classical," YUGEN is the clear choice.
Personally, I suggest using these glasses
as a "spice" to accent dressier items like
shirts, slacks, or jackets, rather than a T-shirt.
The "KOUGETSU" is a completely different
type from SANSUI FR and YUGEN.
Modern functional beauty with all the excess stripped away.
A unique metal frame that refines the essence
of the product, highlighting quiet individuality
and craftsmanship.
The frame is entirely made of lightweight,
highly durable titanium, and for the front rim,
they use a 0.9mm thick titanium rim instead
of the standard 1.0mm often used in Sabae.
This achieves both a sleek look from the front
and structural durability.
By the way, Sabae's metal frame processing
technology is world-class.
It makes sense, as it seems Sabae was
the first in the world to develop
titanium frames!
The flexible and sharp frame movement
