Hello! It’s Haru, a fashion nerd!
To be blunt, the item I'm introducing today is
one that I think people will either love or hate!
Those who don't like this style will steer clear,
while those who do will wear it with ease.
Personally, if it were the "original design,"
I wouldn't have chosen it.
However, with this brand's touch,
it's an item that makes me think, "I need this!!"
Today, I'm going to introduce that very item.

-ELVIS SHIRT-
col.ORANGE
col.GREEN
A piece that catches the eye with its playful graphic
of the brand icon doing a backflip.
It uses a rayon-blend fabric, characterized by
its elegant and smooth texture.
The cool touch you feel the moment you put it on,
and its lightweight feel are perfect for the
upcoming season.
Featuring an open collar and a straight hem,
it offers a relaxed silhouette.
The brand-engraved shell buttons also
subtly add a touch of luxury,
making it a sophisticated item for adults.
The unique "tourist" vibe of a traditional Aloha shirt,
that casual atmosphere,
is honestly quite hard to incorporate into my own style...
In reality, there are almost no people wearing
Aloha shirts in the city anyway.
vowels has taken the Aloha shirt—something most other brands
rarely do—and infused it with their signature streetwear elements.
vowels is a streetwear brand started by Yuki Yagi,
who has worked on the US-based brand
"MONTMARTRE NEW YORK,"
and Hailey Champoux, who has worked with
various other brands.
Operating from both the US and Japan, they propose luxurious items
that color everyday life, with a commitment to
high-quality Japanese fabrics and manufacturing.
vowels is a brand built on the spirit of
"Shuhari" (Shu-Ha-Ri),
a philosophy used in Japanese traditional arts
like tea ceremony and martial arts, following the process
of our predecessors who developed Japanese arts culture.
"Shuhari" consists of three stages:
"Shu" (protect/obey): faithfully learning and mastering the teachings of a master or school.
"Ha" (break): developing one's skills by incorporating new elements.
"Ri" (leave): creating something unique and new.
Based on this "Shuhari" philosophy,
they repeat various experiments and reinterpretations
to propose unique items with an approach suited to the era.
It is said that the roots of the Aloha shirt began when
Japanese immigrants who moved to Hawaii in the early 20th century
made shirts using yukata or kimono fabric.
Yukata fabric wasn't limited to just yukata; a new genre
was pioneered, and that item became the Aloha shirt.
I believe this is a form born from the spirit of "Shuhari,"
and I think that's exactly what this item is—a new
interpretation of the Aloha shirt by vowels.
Following the vibes of the true home of street culture, the US,
with Japan's historical knowledge and techniques.
Any fashion lover will feel the draw of such a
one-of-a-kind item.
The material familiar to Aloha shirts
has a smooth texture and high heat dissipation,
making it comfortable even during humid times.
Furthermore, the high breathability and absorbency
unique to rayon make it a charm that works
seasonlessly.
An item that combines a presence that acts as the centerpiece
of your outfit with an ease of wear that fits into daily life.
This is exactly the piece you'll want to incorporate
in the coming season, when outfits tend to get simple!
Personally, I recommend wearing it as an inner layer
for a setup like a bad-boy character from an old movie,
or referencing overseas stylings to put together your outfit!
A surefire item to color the coming season.
It’s a must-see!!
