Hello! I'm Haru, a fashion geek!
I'm so happy, as a true geek, to see that yesterday's blog post about wool received a much greater response than I had expected, haha.
As I announced, today's blog post
will introduce a few of my recommended
slacks made from wool materials.
Since it's bonus season,
it's the perfect time to pick up those items
that you might usually hesitate to buy
due to the higher price tag.
You might feel they are expensive
at first.
But because these are pieces you will
be wearing for years to come,
I would be delighted if you could look back
and think, "I'm so glad I made the splurge back then."
Of course, these are pairs that will satisfy
all you fashion lovers out there, so please stay with me until the end.
Now, let's get right into
introducing the items.
IRENISA
-TWO TUCKS WIDE TROUSERS-

The ultimate slacks proposed by IRENISA,
a brand that was mentioned several times
in yesterday's blog.
Once you wear these slacks, you won't
want to settle for anything less.
They are truly captivating.
They use "Fine Merino Wool,"
which is even higher quality than the
merino wool I mentioned yesterday,
offering a silk-like luster
that gives them a beautiful appearance.
What makes these slacks so great is
that IRENISA doesn't start with the design,
but with the fabric itself.
Because they build their pieces to suit the fabric,
the charm of the material is drawn out
to 120%.
With its delicate and beautiful drape,
this fine merino wool has a supple,
refined look that I can confidently
recommend without reservation.
ssstein
-EASY LONG WIDE TROUSERS(ST.1430)-
The second pair are slacks that could be called
one of the signature items of ssstein.
They are immensely popular as a
symbolic piece for the brand.
While they are "easy" to wear, they maintain
a clean and neat silhouette at the waist,
and the moderate volume and drape give them
both a strong presence and an elegant feel.
The wool used for these slacks is an
original wool gabardine made from Super 120's raw wool,
woven at high density and piece-dyed.
Let me take a moment to explain the "Super" unit
that I didn't get to yesterday!
"Super" is a standard used to express
the fineness of wool fibers.
The higher the number,
the finer the fiber,
resulting in a material with a smoother texture
and a more elegant luster.
However, "higher number = better fabric"
is not necessarily true.
Clothing requires different performance
depending on its intended use and design,
so you can't just decide which material
is superior across the board.
For example, if these slacks were made
with Super 140's,
while you would get an even more silk-like luster
and a meltingly soft texture,
the finer fibers would also make them
more prone to wrinkling.
On the other hand, the Super 120's used here
is woven at a high density,
balancing a moderate crispness
with an elegant luster.
It is relatively wrinkle-resistant
and offers a well-balanced quality
that is easy to handle for everyday wear.
Above all, it is the kind of material that perfectly supports
the beautiful silhouette that falls straight from the waist
to the hem—so characteristic of ssstein!
When choosing clothes, we tend to focus on the design,
but it's also interesting to look at the fabric
from the perspective of "why do I want to wear this?"
Of course, you can enjoy fashion
plenty even without this knowledge.
Honestly, you don't need this to enjoy your clothes,
but I think it's fun to expand your perspective
by developing a discerning eye.
Actually, there was one more pair of
wool slacks I wanted to introduce,
but this is getting long,
so I will introduce them tomorrow instead.
Since I'm at it, I'll also talk about the
item that pairs with those slacks, so look forward to it.
