Hello! I'm Haru, a fashion nerd!
Thanks to you all, recently
our new arrivals have been selling out as soon as they land,
so I’ve been unable to introduce them on the blog.
Lately, I’ve been feeling that kind of
happy anxiety more and more.
The item I’m introducing today
originally came in 3 colors, but
one has already sold out immediately, and the others are running low.
Honestly, I expected this item to disappear
early on, so I’m not surprised,
but at this pace, I don’t think there will be any left for me haha.
That item is,
REVERBERATE

The "Half Zip" series,
a staple REVERBERATE item.
Every season, they offer various
variations by changing the shape and materials,
but for 26AW, they’ve released an entirely new
“double-breasted” half-zip!
Personally, this was the piece I wanted most
out of all the items this season,
a real standout.
Taking a double-breasted design, which I’ve
only ever seen on rider jackets,
and recreating it as a top makes for a playful garment.
Double-breasted designs usually
reminisce of leather jackets,
so I was truly shocked when I saw this item.
On top of that, it doesn't lose the essence of the classic
"half-zip,"
and when they propose expanding on those merits with a new interpretation, a nerd like me can’t keep quiet haha.
What makes talking about REVERBERATE items
so compelling is that
the shapes and bases are things from our daily lives,
but they don't look at universal items head-on;
they capture them from skewed, side, and various angles,
creating a sense of "unease."
It's not an unpleasant unease,
but rather something you might miss if you aren't
a true clothing lover—
yet once you notice, it intrigues you,
and before you know it, you're captivated by REVERBERATE.
That is only possible because of high-level skill and knowledge,
and because of Mr. Hoshi, who deliberately
left Japan to work in the Netherlands,
allowing him to approach design with free-thinking
untethered by conventional wisdom.
Because REVERBERATE has that perspective,
I’ve never seen a double-breasted version among the many
zip items proposed by various brands!
If this were a traditional leather version,
it would be quite a punk-style item
and appeal to a limited crowd, but this is different.
In addition to the moist, smooth feel unique to cotton,
it has a stretchiness similar to jersey material.
The fabric weight, not as thick as a sweatshirt and wearable year-round,
is very attractive.
Thanks to that, it works great on its own,
or as an accent layer under outerwear.
Combined with the quality of the fabric, I think even those who usually
pick basic items will find it easy to wear.
On a personal note,
it doesn’t have an oversized fit,
but rather a compact balance,
so it looks great on its own or
as an inner layer!!
Honestly, with it moving at this pace,
I'm most worried about whether any will be left for me haha.
