Hello! This is Haru, a total clothes nerd!!
Something wonderful happened
just recently.
Mr. I, a stylish regular customer
who is always so kind to me,
went out of his way to DM me saying
he enjoyed reading my blog post
about the maykam knit hoodie!
This is the same customer I introduced
in EP.9 of my blog.
Mr. I is a true connoisseur of fashion
who visits various shops and reads
many blogs, so knowing that
I managed to move him feels great—it means
"my passion came through!"
As staff members, we are the bridge
between the customer and the brand,
so the value of that brand depends
largely on our own abilities.
That is why we have a duty to convey
the charm of an item without compromise,
but simply relaying information isn't enough.
If it were just about relaying info, online
would suffice, but there are things that can
only be proposed because it is "you" I am talking to,
and that approach changes with every single person.
That is why I enjoy our in-store conversations,
and I’m honestly just proud that I was able to
move someone's heart through a blog post
filtered through my own perspective (lol).
I hope to move someone’s heart
with today’s blog, too.
Without further ado, here is today's recommendation.
IRENISA
-CARGO SHIRT BLOUSON-
A shirt blouson featuring cargo pockets,
which Souta also loves to wear.
Just like the IRENISA items
I’ve introduced in the past,
this piece is packed with an incredible
attention to fabric.
The fabric is produced in the Bishu region,
using extra-long staple Supima cotton
woven into a high-density twill.
Did the mention of "Bishu" make you pause?
Generally, cotton production takes place in
Hamamatsu, which is famous for it,
but IRENISA deliberately chose Bishu,
a region known for wool.
That choice is exactly where the appeal
of this item lies.
This fabric has a thickness unlike traditional
cotton, with a different texture on the inside
and outside.
The back of the fabric has been given a
micro-peach finish, creating a high-quality
cotton that is wrinkle-resistant and feels great.
I still remember being surprised when I first
touched it, not realizing it was cotton.
IRENISA's dedication to fabric is among the best
of any domestic brand,
and because they don't get trapped by common
sense and approach production with a free mindset,
they continue to create items that make
clothes nerds like us say "wow."
It gets me so fired up (lol).
By the way, when I met the designer,
they even mentioned that their obsession with it
made the production costs higher than
for their wool items—that's how highly
they think of it.
Designed with a boxy, relaxed silhouette and
voluminous sleeves,
it also features large chest pockets and side
seam pockets, making it a piece that can
function as both a shirt and outerwear!
For this time of year, you could wear it
under a coat, or add a turtleneck inside
to switch up your look.
Come spring, I think it would look
absolutely amazing paired with INDIGO denim.
By the way, the material is machine-washable,
making it an incredibly easy-to-care-for item that
fulfills the ideals of any fashion enthusiast!
Early on, I said our job is to "convey,"
but this item is something that is better
experienced than talked about.
IRENISA… what an incredible brand.
Oh, and I almost forgot to mention—
this is part of a set-up.
In other words, there are matching pants!
Tomorrow's blog will be about those.
Look forward to it.
