Hello! It’s Haru, a total clothing nerd!
The MIDTHINGS 26AW pre-order event,
which wrapped up today.
This two-day event was a huge success,
and I am truly grateful for everyone who
took the time to visit us.
As "we" at sign, our mission is to act as a bridge
between the brands and you, our customers.
We want to be more than just a place to buy clothes—
we want to propose pieces that have "meaning."
As part of that effort, we were able to host
this event with MIDTHINGS this time.
We will continue to work hard to bring you
these kinds of special proposals in the future!!
While our look into the future has come to an end today,
we can still offer you the absolute best for "now"!
The items I’m introducing today
are a set-up that you can enjoy in any season,
which also received great feedback during the pre-order event.
Let’s get right to it.

As I mentioned in my blog post about our bespoke items before,
there is a "warmth" to MIDTHINGS items, a contemporary wardrobe
born from human hands and the feeling of that genuine touch.
Since it’s a black set-up, it’s undeniably chic and
has a substantial presence, but the softness sensed through
the material and details gives it a vintage-like feel.
The yarn, woven using original spun threads via
※semi-wet spinning, is soft and skin-friendly
while retaining the dry texture typical of linen.
※A linen spinning method that sits between dry and wet spinning.
From a distance, the fabric looks simple,
but if you look closely, the unique color irregularities
that occur during dyeing show off the true character of linen.
Because this is a spring/summer proposal,
black in a refreshing linen material doesn’t feel heavy,
making it an accessible, easy-to-wear piece for daily life.
I often hear from fellow fashion lovers that they find it hard
to choose what to wear in the spring and summer,
so for those of you struggling with what to wear this year!!
I highly recommend this set-up!
Since it's linen, you don't have to worry about sweat or wrinkles,
you can use it comfortably without being too precious with it,
and black is a color you just can't go wrong with.
The trousers are easy pants, so they are incredibly
comfortable to wear.
It's so solid that I’d genuinely like to know
if there are any flaws to this item at all; it's the perfect
set-up for the season ahead.
Of course, the appeal of this item isn't just the material;
I want you to pay attention to the details that
evoke that sense of "warmth."
Details like hand-stitched traces, distinctive paneling,
uneven natural shell buttons,
and washable leather trimming—these "imperfect" elements
are what give it a unique personality, reflecting the
drama of being crafted by human hands.
As the designer, Mr. Kondo, mentioned,
this set-up is not just machine-washable but
can even be tumble-dried!!
As you intentionally wash and dry it, the linen outer
layer will gradually shrink, letting the cotton lining show through,
transforming it into the look of a vintage jacket.
Isn't that just the best?
In this day and age, there are few clothes where you can truly
enjoy the wearer's life and the process of aging.
I believe clothes worth wearing for decades, rather than ones
that are "done" as soon as you wear them, have real value.
Of course, since slim fits are trending, choosing a slim
cut for this season isn't wrong at all.
However, it’s also wonderful to choose something that you can
incorporate your own "warmth" into, through the "changes"
it will go through in the years to come.
