Hello! I'm Haru, a fashion geek!!
I took yesterday off for a lightning trip to Tokyo
to attend a concert by my favorite artist.
It was a great way to refresh!
Beyond the concert, I visited some places I'd been wanting to see,
and also checked out a collaboration event between Sakanaction and a planetarium
that's been happening for a few years now.
It was more interesting than I expected,
and it was such a good day that it personally made me want to visit a planetarium again.
I'll end my personal chatter
here.
There is an item I've been personally finding myself
dying to have lately.
That item is basic, yet
there is something unique about it.
I'm sure you might feel like
calling me out for saying "basic" and "unique" are opposites,
but if you take a look at this item,
I think you'll understand what I mean.

From blanc YM, a brand with many items
that fit perfectly into daily life,
comes a slightly unusual piece.
With its distinctive neck design,
this knit is actually
inspired by vintage ski sweatshirts!
Unlike a high-necked crewneck,
it opens up like a boat-neck knit,
and lacks the typical constriction of a sweatshirt design,
making it an item you can wear in a relaxed way.
The reason I fell in love with this item is the fabric, but
above all else, it's the design.
While there are many crewneck-type
knits in the shop,
this style is fresh and allows for
differentiation in styling,
expressing a sweatshirt style
in a knit.
The roomy neck features
boat-neck style ribbing,
which provides just the right change in lines,
so I think it's easy even for those who don't usually prefer it to give it a try.
While the silhouette itself has a slightly dropped shoulder,
it remains a basic sweatshirt silhouette,
making it a piece you can wear for many years
regardless of season or trends.

When it comes to blanc YM, it's all about high-quality materials!!
That strength
is alive and well in this knit,
which is knitted with a high-quality cashmere-cotton blend yarn in a 10-gauge rubber smooth stitch.
Inspired by vintage sweatshirt fabric,
it recreates that look with a smooth, cashmere-blend texture!
You might expect a thick, coarse texture,
but the fabric has a delicate softness and
warmth that exceeds its appearance,
and I feel that this item
perfectly embodies the contemporary atmosphere
that blanc YM stands for.
Personally, I think the
PURPLE color is great!
Surprisingly, there aren't many
PURPLE items out there,
and while I've seen them in cotton sweatshirts
a few times, you don't often come across them in a soft, cashmere-blend knit.
Because of the soft impression
that a knit provides,
even a punchy color like PURPLE
is easy to combine with elegant items,
and honestly, I'd definitely choose it as an accent for my styling!
Since you can always choose a basic-colored knit,
I think it's fun to try choosing a "basic yet unique" item
that adds a new essence while still fitting into your daily life!
