The news was just released recently,
and it’s the talk of the town right now:
The first-ever collaboration capsule collection
between ssstein and UMBRO.
UMBRO is a football brand
from Manchester, England.
This project was realized through the respect designer Mr. Asakawa holds for football culture,
and his deep affection for 1990s UMBRO
football uniforms.
It’s not just any football uniform;
it’s a collection that interprets the
vibe of UMBRO from that era—which catered even to the daily lives of players—
through ssstein’s unique modern lens.
Available items include pieces in nylon cotton dump fabric,
padded jackets, and wide denim made with vintage denim fabric.
Available in-store and online
starting 11/1 (Sat) at 12:00 PM!!
These are ssstein’s first-ever collaboration items.
As an ssstein fan, I really want them myself,
but since I have to work the store as a staff member,
I have to pass on them this time…
Honestly, I’d love to abuse my staff status
to buy a sweatshirt, but sign is a customer-first
kind of shop, so I’ve had to make the painful decision to give up.
When I asked if there was any chance, even if it was a long shot,
they slowly broke into a huge grin and whispered in my ear,
"Absolutely not lol," and I just crumpled to my knees.
