Following up on yesterday,
I’d like to introduce another cashmere knit.
I talked in detail about the material of
cashmere in yesterday’s blog post,
so please be sure to read that first
before reading this one!
Let’s jump right into the item introduction...

A shaggy knit that takes cashmere material and gives it a special fur treatment for an even hairier finish.
A shaggy knit refers to
a knit that has been brushed on the surface to create long, fluffy fibers.
It features an exquisite, soft feel,
combined with the distinct luster and look
of long, cashmere-derived fibers.
This is a different piece
from the cashmere knit I introduced yesterday.
A departure from the refined designs
typical of a specialized brand,
this item is packed with the universal charm
of the designer brand, ssstein.
They used cashmere—which is already rare—
and went to the great trouble of applying
a shaggy finish as well.
Beyond the comfort inherent to cashmere,
it adds high heat retention
and a plush texture.
The brushing, which differs from that of
mohair knits, gives it a dressy impression,
and when compared to other knit items in our shop,
it clearly radiates a different kind of "beauty."
It makes a striking statement even as an inner layer,
and because the design is simple,
the beauty of the fabric truly stands out.
Rumor has it that
it’s so incredibly comfortable
that the entire ssstein staff ended up buying one;
it’s a dangerously addictive knit.
Compared to the picea knit,
this ssstein piece is thicker,
and since both are 100% cashmere,
it’s hard to imagine how they could get any more comfortable.
It’s less a question of “Which is better, picea or ssstein?”
and more a matter of “Which knit do you prefer?”
If I had to choose, ssstein’s items strongly reflect
the unique characteristics of the fabric,
so from a "fashion" perspective,
I think the advantage lies with ssstein.
Because ssstein is always searching for
one-of-a-kind creation,
this isn’t just cashmere used as-is,
but an item infused with an original,
world-class perspective.
