Hello! It’s Haru, the clothing geek!!

I had to take a break from the blog yesterday
due to being busy,

but today I’m going to make sure to write
a proper post for all my fans!

The delivery for ssstein

started yesterday.

Once again, shortly after the release,

many of you visited the store and chose items online,
so the leather jackets sold out immediately.

I was grateful that some of you even read my blog
and chose the size S haha.

Aside from the leather jackets,
almost all of the other items

are down to the last piece and nearly sold out.

And of course, that includes the item
I’m introducing today.

Personally, this is the item that’s been just as popular
as the leather jackets in this 2nd delivery!

ssstein
-COTTON SATIN OVERSIZED
DOUBLE BREASTED COAT(ST.1371)-

This 26SS collection evokes a sense of luxurious, profound weight
by incorporating leather as a contrast element
to the cotton and nylon materials.

Instead of the leather cord details
seen in the past,

cow leather is used for the pocket rims and the
front fly of flight jackets,

adding definition by combining leather with
the light materials.

These items naturally draw you in with an atmosphere
created by the exquisite balance
of opposing materials.

Among this season's pieces,
this coat in particular stands out.

While your eyes are drawn to the leather on the underside of the collar,

that’s not the only point of this item;
it’s also packed with attention to the fabric.

A luxurious garment using REGGIANI’s AZETA ultra-fine
80/2 combed yarn for both warp and weft.

REGGIANI is a pioneer in stretch material development,
based in Biella, Italy—

one of the world's leading
wool textile regions.

The key to this item is that it doesn't use wool,
a brand renowned for such high quality that
luxury brands around the world share its wool fabrics,
but instead uses cotton.

It uses a 100% cotton double satin
woven at a very high density of
84 warp threads and 36 weft threads per cm.

By applying high-level wool techniques to cotton,
it achieves a smooth texture and luster
not found in conventional cotton fabrics.

I remember being surprised when I checked the details,
as I first thought, "What a beautiful wool fabric."

While it has a depth and weight that makes you forget it's cotton,

the lightness inherent in cotton fabric
expresses the softness characteristic of SS items when worn.

The "contrast" born from colliding opposing elements—
like "cotton × leather" and "deep colors yet lightweight"—

not only creates an elegant mood,
but as a geek, I suspect it expresses the "liminal space"

that is part of ssstein’s concept:

"From nothing to something.
Expressing the space in between."

haha.

The shape is a double-breasted coat.

Each detail has been adjusted to achieve as minimal an impression as possible
to maximize the exceptionally smooth touch and beautiful expression of the fabric.

Because the details are simple,
the cow leather on the underside of the collar serves as a great accent.

Of course,

it looks beautiful and dignified even when the collar is down,
and it’s amazing just to cinch the waist
to create a change in silhouette.

Many of you have likely become captivated by how ssstein coats
look when worn a bit loosely,

creating an irresistibly beautiful drape as you walk.

This is a different approach from the trench coat
that we have only a few of left in the store,
which is why it’s interesting...

This is the kind of item that makes people split on which one is better haha.

Personally,

the trench coat is my mood right now,
so I’m rooting for that one, but

if I had the money to spare,
I’d want this coat too.

Actually, please let me buy it!! haha

I've written a blog post about the trench coat too,
so if you haven’t read it yet,

please check it out as well!

Which one are you leaning toward?

Please let me know in the store!
