The highly acclaimed ssstein × UMBRO collaboration.
Thanks to everyone’s support, all items
sold out in just a single day.
Seeing so many of you come by early in the morning
to pick up these various items was a joy
as a staff member,
but as a fashion geek who wanted to buy the
UMBRO collab pieces myself, it was a bit frustrating haha.
I know there were many of you who wanted to
see them in person at the shop before choosing.
Well, I have good news for you!!
I pushed the brand to make an exception, and
they’ve kindly let us have a few more pieces
from the lineup we received this time!
It’s first come, first served.

Changing the subject, I wrote a blog post yesterday
about an IRENISA blouson,
and received comments from several people
asking me to introduce other blousons too!!
I can’t ignore the voices of the precious fans who
read this blog, even though it still has low traffic,
so I’m going to jump on the opportunity haha.
So, following up on yesterday, I’d like to propose
another incredible blouson today.
That item is:
OUAT
-META BLOUSON-
A beautiful piece crafted from SUPER 180's wool—
(the kind of fiber length comparable to cashmere;
Super 110's to Super 120's are usually used in good business suits).
It has undergone an off-scale treatment,
woven into a thick double-cloth,
and dyed a stunning concrete gray in Izumiotsu.
The beauty is as calculated as modern art.
OUAT’s items have a sense of modernism
that proposes clothing for "those of us living in the now."
Clothing in recent years often features
designs or details that follow past garments,
like items that evoke Levi’s 501s,
for example.
I’m not saying that drawing inspiration from
such past items is bad at all—
in fact, I love refining past items!
OUAT’s pieces also have parts that
remind you of past military or workwear items.
However,
those details are so well integrated...
By exuding a contemporary atmosphere,
it feels constructed as a piece for the "now,"
not the past.
I’m throwing around a lot of geeky terms today,
but that’s just how much this appeals to the senses haha.
The fabric itself isn't just high quality;
it uses a Super Melton wool that offers
a unique tactile feel, combining a supple, elastic texture
with firmness and structure.
In addition to fabric equal to or better than
luxury brands, the leather collar provides
a nice accent to the gray contrast.
It’s fantastic that it’s real cowhide,
not faux leather.
The signature hair pocket, thumbholes,
and even the use of olive fabric for the lining
is a devilishly stylish touch.
Surely no man could dislike such classy detailing.
Rather than just a Japanese brand, the design
is closer to imported fashion,
with an item that truly reflects the spirit of
designer Mr. Tamura, who draws from various
cultures and inspirations to offer new value.
OUAT is a modern wear brand completely different
from the IRENISA blouson I introduced yesterday.
