Hello! I'm Haru, a fashion geek!

Today, this "Fashion Geek Diary" has finally...
reached EP.100!!!

I started this blog about 4 months ago,
and now that I've reached the 100th post,

I am filled with gratitude for the many people who have read it
and for those who have picked up and chosen the items I introduced.

In my 23 years of life, there is nothing else I have stuck with for this long,

and I am surprised by it myself.

It all started with advice from a fashion-loving person named I,

and at first, I just jumped in thinking,
"Let's just give it a try!" and was having fun every day,

but I spent my days exploring

how to convey its charm.

Of course, I'm still using trial and error every day,

but compared to the beginning,
the vague parts have become clearer,

and I feel like what I want to convey
has become more vivid.

Reaching 100 posts doesn't mean anything will change,

but I will continue to share the charm of fashion
through my own filter!

I hope you will continue to warmly support
this fashion geek's blog.

By the way,

does everyone remember the item I introduced in EP.1?!

It was the best blouson I got
by abusing my professional authority last year.

That's right! The OVERCOAT
MA-1 BOMBER JACKET!!

I like it so much that I wear it 3 times a week,
and honestly, I even like it enough to be wearing it today, haha.

Back then, I was just talking about the blouson I had just bought from a geeky perspective, but now it's different.

There are things I can convey precisely because I have actually worn it,

and I believe that sharing that is what this blog is about.

But for those of you thinking, "It's 25AW, so there's no point in telling us now," don't worry.

The 26SS collection has brought back that blouson from last season
in an updated form,

making it easier to wear and giving it a size that fits the current trend!

It's not the exact same item,
but I hope I can convey the feeling of wearing it and the quality of the pattern.

I've been saving this for this day (EP.100), haha.

The item I'm introducing today is this one!

OVERCOAT
-Bomber Jacket-

This is a piece that incorporates the blouson that sold out instantly last year
into an SS version.

Bomber jackets were originally
short-length outerwear born as military flight jackets,

and the traditional ones have various pockets.

This bomber jacket takes that military item,
strips away the decoration as much as possible,

finishes it with a solid impression, and reinterprets it
using OVERCOAT's unique, signature pattern-making technology.

Other than the size, it might look the same at a glance as the one I use,

but it's actually completely different!

If I were to roughly list the changes, there are 3 points: size, material, and pattern,

and the point I am personally focusing on is the pattern.

The blouson I own has a sleeve pattern with a silhouette like a jacket's forward pitch,

giving it a profound image based on tailoring.

However, in this bomber jacket,
it looks like a set-in sleeve when viewed from the front,

but when viewed from the back, it forms a special pattern like a one-piece dolman sleeve
that eliminates the armhole seam.

This is my personal opinion,
but I suspect this pattern was adopted to avoid the tailored profundity
that comes with the special sleeve construction,

and instead bring out the lightness appropriate for SS.

Of course, just like before,

the rounded silhouette that follows the body line of the wearer
without being restricted by physique is still there,

and the structure itself stands out as a design.

While retaining the coolness of a military item,

by removing details and designs unnecessary for modern times and daily life,

and combining them with the expert pattern technology
that designer Omaru-san weaves from his many years of experience,

an incredible chemical reaction occurs,

and before you know it, you're addicted to OVERCOAT.

The thick ribs on the hem and sleeves act as an accent for the whole,

hinting at a luxury like a high-end brand while maintaining a light impression.

Of course, that's not the only point of commitment.

It uses a wool material that recreates the traditional gabardine used for military and service uniforms.

Fine threads are woven at high density,

featuring excellent drape and luster,

with a dry touch and moderate firmness.

It is the work of a genius to remove the ruggedness of the military
in terms of design, while incorporating military elements in terms of material.

I often hear that fashion is addition and subtraction,

but I have never seen such a perfect equation.

"It's ready-to-wear, but a piece like haute couture."

Precisely because there is manufacturing that makes you feel that way,

us fashion lovers are charmed, and before we know it, we are addicts of OVERCOAT.

I can confidently recommend this as an item you won't regret!

We have other OVERCOAT items available as well,

so I really want you to fall into this swamp!

There's no getting out of it, haha.
